Moscow condemns terrorist attacks on Damascus neighborhoods

Moscow, SANA - Russian Foreign Ministry condemned on Monday terrorist organization attacks with mortar shells on Damascus neighborhoods, stressing the need to unify international efforts to counter terrorism in Syria and the region.
Sputnik quoted the Ministry's statement as saying that "We strongly condemn terrorist raids against the Russian diplomatic mission and peaceful quarters in Damascus."
"Russia will continue its principled stance to conduct a decisive and uncompromising struggle against terrorists in Syria," the Ministry added in its statement.
Moscow has again called on the international community to "unite efforts on a universal international and legal basis for eradicating the dangerous hotbed of terrorism in Syria and in the entire region as soon as possible."
Seven civilians were injured on Sunday when armed groups fired mortar shells on al-Mazraa and Bab Touma neighborhoods in Damascus city, in a new breach of the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones.
